NORMAN E. TIBBETTS

Norman Earl Tibbetts, 74, of the 3900 block of Wedgewood Drive, died August 7, 1995, in his residence.

A native of Milo, Maine, Mr. Tibbetts was a retired machinist for Norfolk Naval Shipyard, Shop (NU)31. He was a member of Taylor Road Baptist Church, Chesapeake. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II.

Survivors include his wife, Grace B. Tibbetts; daughter, Earlene Quinn Smith of St. Mary's County, Md.; son, Gregory Wayne Tibbetts of Chesapeake; sister, Thelma Bass of Portsmouth; and four grandchildren.

The graveside service will be conducted Wednesday, August 9, 1995, at 2 p.m. in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens by the Rev. Earl Freeland. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel is handling arrangements. The family will receive friends at the funeral home this evening from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to Alzheimer's Association, 20 Koger Executive Court, Norfolk 23502.
