Jack Brown Jr. of the 800 block of West 38th Street, died Aug. 4, 1995, in a local health care center.
Mr. Brown was born in Richland, S.C., and was a retired short shoreman for ILA Local 1458. He was the widower of Blanche Brown. He was a member of Antioch Missionary Baptist Church and served on the usher board.
Survivors include daughter, Louise Liles; three sons, Russell Barnes, Melvin Joyner and Harold Brown; and brother, Johnnie Brown.
The funeral will be conducted Thursday, August 10, 1995, at noon by the Rev. I. Joseph Williams in Antioch Missionary Baptist Church. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park. Graves Funeral Home in charge. Friends may join the family at the residence. The body will be taken to the church at 10 a.m.
