Jermaine Lajaune Johnson, 23, of the 4100 block of Lakeview Drive, died Aug. 7, 1995, in Sentara Norfolk General Hospital.
Mr. Johnson, a construction worker, was born in Norfolk. He was a member of New Bethel Baptist Church, Portsmouth.
Survivors include one son, Javonta, of Chesapeake; his parents, Mrs. Carolyn E. Johnson and Mr. William A. Johnson; two sisters, Jametha L. Johnson of Chesapeake, Sonja Johnson of Lanexa, Va.; one brother, Jakeith L. Johnson of Chesapeake; maternal grandparents, James and Dorothy Edwards of Emporia; a devoted friend, Crystal Evins of Portsmouth; six aunts, two uncles, six uncles-in-law; two aunts-in-law; one niece; one nephew; and a host of cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Mrs. Catherine A. Johnson.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Little Gilfield Baptist Church, Ivor, by the Rev. Eric C. Johnson. Burial will be in Johnson Family Cemetery, Wakefield. T.E. Cooke-Twilight Funeral Home in charge. Viewing will begin for the public at 4:30 p.m. Thursday. Family and friends will assemble at the parents' home Friday at 12:30 p.m. for the procession to the church.
