Breaking and entering, 4800 block Sleepy Hole Road, July 26, someone removed two bicycles after breaking into a shed.

Grand larceny, 1400 Progress Road, July 20, someone removed the left front grille light and battery from a 1985 Volvo. The right front window was broken out, and a Volvo cassette radio and overhead light removed.
Vandalism, Lake Prince Road, July 22, mail boxes were damaged, apparently with a baseball bat.
Grand larceny, 3100 Nansemond Parkway, July 24, someone removed a black and white female pit bull from a cage at the rear of a residence. A 3-year-old, brown and tiger-striped, 70-pound male pit bull was removed from a residence in the 3300 block of Nansemond Parkway.
Grand larceny, 4200 block Pontiac Circle, July 25, someone moved a boat from a dock at the rear of a residence and removed a 1992 Yamaha blue/gray outboard motor.
Grand larceny, 3600 block Pruden Blvd., July 26, someone broke into a business and removed seven cylinders of gas commonly used for auto body repair.

Breaking and entering, 500 block Kilby Ave., July 20, someone entered a house through the bathroom window while the resident was on vacation. A 19-inch RCA color TV, a 20-inch FSH color TV and a beige, wicker chair were removed.
Breaking and entering, 400 block Smith St., July 21, someone entered a house by forcing open the rear door. A Sears VCR was removed.
Breaking and entering, 400 block Smith St., July 22, someone entered a house by breaking a window. A 25-inch RCA color TV and a RCA VCR were removed.
Strong-arm robbery, 500 block Mason Ave., July 23, a man was struck by someone. $22 and his bicycle, a girls Huffy pink and purple Mountain bike, were taken.
Vandalism, 400 block St. James Ave., July 23, a person returned home to discover her storm door window broken.

Breaking and entering, 200 block Locust St., July 21, someone entered a home by forcing open a locked door. A bag of clothing and a VCR and remote were removed.
Petty larceny, 300 block Ben St., July 21, someone removed a cellular phone and temporary tags from an '86 Chrysler.
Forgery, 900 block Davis Blvd., July 21, someone forged a signature on a summons issued on June 15, 1994.
Malicious wounding, 200 block North Capitol St., July 21, someone reports that a man stabbed him in the back, possibly with an ice pick, while they were in his yard.
Petty larceny, 100 block Dill Road, July 21, someone removed three Virginia state inspection stickers and three Suffolk city decals from vehicles parked at a business.
Traffic hazard, North 4th Street and Clarys Drive, July 22, a vehicle was left parked and unattended in a roadway.
Breaking and entering, 800 block Nixon Drive, July 24, someone gained entrance to a shed at the rear of a residence by prying the door open. Nothing was removed.
Burglary, 100 block South 6th St., July 24, someone entered a residence through an unsecured door and removed a lawn mower.
Breaking and entering, 400 block Cullodan St., July 26, someone entered a house and removed a Westinghouse deep freezer and its contents, a 13-inch Westinghouse color TV, a Sanyo VCR and several towels.

Lost/stolen, various locations, July 21, people advise that their Suffolk city stickers were removed from their vehicles.
Breaking and entering, Ruritan Boulevard and Holland Road, July 22, someone cut the padlocks off a concession stand but were unable to gain access. A portable toilet was overturned and the outside light broken.
Breaking and entering, 200 block Kenyon Road, July 24, someone entered a school by breaking the glass above the custodian's door. Nothing was removed.
DISTRICT F
Petty larceny, 100 block Whaley St., July 20, someone entered a GMC pickup and removed the state inspection sticker.
Breaking and entering, 1300 block Airport Road, July 22, someone broke into a business and removed a small cash box containing $50 from the refrigerator.
Motor vehicle theft, 8700 block Whaleyville Blvd., July 22, someone attempted to remove an 88 Nissan Sentra. A neighbor observed them tampering with the car. A stolen Virginia license plate had been attached. The suspects fled in another vehicle.
Distributing obscene material, 2700 block Manning Road and 1500 block Wilkins Drive, July 25, someone placed photocopies of a nude female in mailboxes. by CNB
