Ethel H. Walker, 88, of the 3300 block of Downes St., died Aug. 5, 1995, in her home in Portsmouth.
Mrs. Walker was born in Washington, D.C. She was a member of St. Paul's Catholic Church, The Downtown Senior Citizen Group and Retired Senior Volunteer Program. She was the widow of John G. Walker.
Survivors include a daughter, Ivy Newsome of Richmond, Va.; a sister, Sarah Bray, and a brother, Joseph Hawkins, both of Washington, D.C.; three grandchildren; a devoted daughter-in-law, Gloria Walker; one son-in-law; seven nieces; eight nephews; two sisters-in-law; and other relatives and friends.
A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Paul's Catholic Church, Portsmouth, by Father Joseph Slowik. Burial will be in Lincoln Memorial Cemetery. Viewing will begin at noon today at Corprew Funeral Home, where the family will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today for the wake at 7 p.m.
