Eleanor H. Pickens, 74, of the 3900 block of N. Greenway Court, died on Aug. 8, 1995, in a Portsmouth hospital.
Mrs. Pickens was a native of Portsmouth and was the widow of Maurice C. Pickens. She was employed as a secretary at Deep Creek Baptist Church and was a member of River Shore Baptist Church, Portsmouth.
She is survived by one daughter, Marsha A. Pickens of Chesapeake; one son, Michael A. Pickens of Portsmouth; and one brother, Kenneth W. Harrell Jr. of Portsmouth.
A funeral service will be conducted 1 p.m., Friday, August 11, 1995, in Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel, by Dr. William C. Russ, and the Rev. Ernie W. Myers. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home today from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to River Shore Baptist Church.
