Jonah Lee Gassaway, 15, of the 800 block of Middle St., died Aug. 6, 1995, in New York City.
He was born in Norfolk, and was a ninth-grade student at Oscar Smith High School, Chesapeake.
Survivors include his mother, Margaret G. Williams of Chesapeake; his stepfather, Edward A. Williams of Chesapeake; one sister, Amber T. Gassaway of Chesapeake; three brothers, Phillip Gassaway of Virginia Beach, Jon Gassaway and Edward A. Williams Jr., both of Chesapeake; paternal grandmother, Julia Owens of Virginia Beach; and maternal grandmother, Margaret Gassaway of Virginia Beach.
The funeral will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Friday in Calvary Evangelical Church, Portsmouth, by the Rev. James Parker. Burial will be in Lincoln Cemetery, Portsmouth. Fitchett Funeral Home in charge.
