Regarding ``A last look?'' (letter, July 30): It worries me when I read about drivers more interested in scenery than the road. I am a motorcyclist who has been struck by a car whose driver claimed, ``I didn't see him!''
I like admiring the scenery as much as anyone. I ride through many beautiful places. I will sometimes stop, get off my bike and enjoy the view. However, while on the road, that is where my attention is focused.
I believe all motor-vehicle operators should pay more attention to what they are supposed to be doing and less to looking at ``tree-shaded inlets and coves.'' This could reduce accidents.
