William Frank Cutchins, 69, of the 27000 block of Walters Highway, died Sunday, Aug. 13, 1995.
Mr. Cutchins was a native of Nansemond County and was the son of the late William Otis and Millie Eure Cutchins. He was an Army veteran of World War II and a longtime member of Mt. Carmel Christian Church where he was an usher, deacon, and member of the Men's Bible Class. Mr. Cutchins was retired from the Virginia Department of Transportation.
Survivors include his wife, Lucy Stephens Cutchins; two daughters, Betty C. Richards of Tyler, Texas, and Virginia C. Story of Franklin; three grandchildren, Christy Richards, Janelle Story and Dana S. Futrell; three great-grandchildren; one sister, Millie C. Baccus of Chesapeake; and one brother, Russell Cutchins of Petersburg.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday, August 16, 1995, at Mt. Carmel Christian Church by the Rev. Robert Bennett and the Rev. T.A. Powell. The burial will be in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at Wright Funeral Home, Franklin, from 7 to 8 p.m. today and suggest memorials be made to the Perpetual care fund of Mt. Carmel Christian Church.
