LAKE TAYLOR AWARDS

Eastern District baseball champions, Lake Taylor, also took top honors in the post season all-star awards, placing five on a 12-man first team and three on the second team.

Pitcher J.T. Hazelette tops the list with a 9-3 record on the mound. Joining Hazelette on the first team are infielder David Lambert and outfielders Robbie Hale and Brian Fair. Jason Dixon, a Norfolk State signee and All-Tidewater selection, earned honors as the designated hitter with a RBIS.

Pitcher Todd Davidson (8-3) and Aaron Amborse, a second team All-Tidewater pick, represented Maury, the league's tournament champion which advanced to the second round of the Eastern Region playoffs, on the first team.

Granby also earned two spots on the first team through All-Tidewater second teamer Frank Thompson, a .500 hitter in his junior and senior years, and catcher Todd Bowen.

Also earning first team honors were Booker T. Washington's John Subsavage and Dominique Perry. Rounding out the selections was Norview's Darnell Davis in the infield.
