Elizabeth Smithwick ``Liz'' Hoggard, 66, of the 1300 block of Anne Ave., died Aug. 16, 1995, in Chesapeake General Hospital.
Mrs. Hoggard was born in Bertie County, N.C., and was a member of Southside Baptist Church, Chesapeake. She was a homemaker.
She is survived by her husband, Robert Hoggard; two daughters, Lisa Hoggard of Virginia Beach, and Martha Bates of Chesapeake; two sons, Tony Hoggard of Suffolk, and Herbert Hoggard of Virginia Beach; three sisters, Hazel McLane of Elizabeth City, N.C., Kaye Simmons and Pat Dunlow, both of Windsor, N.C.; one brother, Allen Smithwick of Franklin, Va.; and four grandchildren.
A funeral service will be conducted 2 p.m. Saturday, in Francis A. Gay Funeral Home, South Norfolk Chapel, by the Rev. Willis Switzer. Burial is in Chesapeake Memorial Gardens, Chesapeake. The family will be at the funeral home today, from 7 to 8 p.m., and at other times at 1309 Anne Ave., Chesapeake.
