Betty Sexton Wyman, 74, of West Little Creek Road, died Aug. 17, 1995, in a Norfolk hospital.
Mrs. Wyman, the widow of Marvin Eugene Wyman, was born in St. Louis, Mo. She was a member of First Lutheran Church. She was active in all areas of the church, especially the Lutheran Church Women, where she was on the board and a circle leader. She volunteered at C.H.K.D. for several years. She was also a member of Daisy Chain (NU)2 circle at C.H.K.D., the O.D.U. Sewing Group, and was a member and served on the board of O.D.U. faculty wives and friends.
Survivors include two daughters, Christina Wellington of Virginia Beach, Dorcas Weir and her husband, Clinton of Dallas, Texas; one brother, Robert Sexton of Sea Brook Island, S.C.; and four grandchildren, Mackenzie, Brandon, Christopher and Timothy.
The memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, Aug. 21, 1995, in First Lutheran Church. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to First Lutheran Church or to the American Cancer Society. Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel, is in charge.
