Julian G. ``Tick'' Boyce, 79, of 1065 Nansemond Parkway, died Aug. 18, 1995, in Sentara Norfolk General Hospital.
He was retired from the state highway department and was the owner and operator of Tick's Bicyle Shop. He was born in Chowan County, N.C., and was the widower of Louise Tyler Boyce. He was a member of First Baptist Church, Main Street, Suffolk, and the Progressive Men's Sunday School class at Westend Baptist Church. He was also a charter member of Magnolia Ruritan Club and was a World War II Army veteran.
He is survived by his brother, Ralph Boyce of Collins, Miss.; and nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be conducted 2 p.m. Monday in Hill Funeral Home, by the Rev. T. Floyd Irby Jr. Burial will be in Holly Lawn Cemetery. Visitation will be at the funeral home today from 3 to 4 p.m. Other times the family will be at the home of Nancy C. Claud, 1065 Nansemond Parkway.
