PORTSMOUTH
On Dec. 21, 1989, at around 10 p.m., Keith B. Cassell had an encounter with a man in the 900 block of Fifth St.
After a brief argument, the man pulled out a handgun and shot Cassell several times.
Cassell was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators need someone to come forward with information to help solve this killing. They have some idea who the suspect might be, but witnesses are needed to tell what they know.
Caller 6450 should check in, police said.
CHESAPEAKE
Mark Anderson Graham, 19, is wanted for parole violation in connection with a hit-and-run accident.
Graham is described as white, 6 feet, 1 inch tall, 175 pounds with red hair and brown eyes.
Phillip Benn, 32, also known as ``Peanut,'' is wanted for violation of parole stemming from a distribution of cocaine.
Benn is described as black, 5 feet, 6 inches tall, 145 pounds with black hair and brown eyes.
NORFOLK
On July 21, just before 1 p.m., a gunman entered Crown Central Petroleum in the 7900 block of Chesapeake Blvd.
The robber pulled a large, black revolver from his waistband and demanded that a clerk give him money. The man fled south toward the Revco Drug store.
The robber is described as black, about 24, 5 feet, 5 inches tall and about 150 pounds. He was wearing a black printed T-shirt and black jeans.
VIRGINIA BEACH
On June 8, three push mowers and a weed eater were stolen from a shed at the New Light Baptist Church on Indian River Road.
At the end of last month, several items were taken from the New Life Presbyterian Church on Landstown Road, including a John Deere lawn tractor and cart, a Sears push mower, edger, power blower and a weed eater.
Also, on July 27, a green utility trailer with an Exmark commercial walk-behind mower was stolen from a home on Jameson Drive in Indian Lakes.
In these three thefts, more than $12,000 in equipment was stolen.
HAMPTON
On Thursday, April 20, during the evening hours, someone used a large rock to break a rear window and gain entry to a home in the 1600 block of Chesapeake Ave.
The burglar stole a large amount of jewelry. Police have no suspects. by CNB
