NANCY B. DENBOW

Nancy Ann Babbitt Denbow, loving wife and devoted mother, died peacefully Friday, Aug. 18, 1995, at her home in San Diego. She was 58.

Nancy was diagnosed with terminal lung cancer in early 1994, and spent her remaining time with unfailing courage and characteristic good humor. She was an active volunteer all of her life, including working in the White House Greeting Office during the Reagan and Bush presidencies, Navy Relief worldwide, and Project Wildlife in San Diego. She later worked in the Agency Liaison Office at the White House during the Bush Administration. Mrs. Denbow spent 35 years (including many years in the Norfolk area) moving around the country and world in support of her husband's Navy career.

Nancy is survived by her husband, Kenneth; two sons, Mike of Norfolk, Va., and Ken Jr. of Rockville, Md.; a daughter, Teri LaTullipe of King George, Va.; 10 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and three sisters, Barbara Mullen of Norfolk, Va., Virginia Cottier of Colleyville, Texas, and Patricia Babbitt of Denver, Colo.

Funeral services will be in the Surface Warfare Center Chapel, Dahlgren, Va., at 2 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 25. Chaplain Bill Willson USMC, CHC, Retired, will officiate.

There will be a viewing Thursday, Aug. 24, from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Nash and Slaw Funeral Home in King George. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the San Diego Hospice, 4311 Third Avenue, San Diego, Calif. 92103.
