Julia Mayo Spruill, 84, of the 400 block of E. River St., a retired teachers' aide, died Aug. 21, 1995, in Roanoke Chowan Hospital.
Mrs. Spruill was born in Beaufort County, N.C., and was a member of Colerain United Methodist Church and United Methodist Women. She was the widow of James Koria Spruill.
Survivors include a son, James Gilbert Spruill of Colerain; and a sister, Dorothy Mayo Coram of Charleston, S.C.
A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Garrett Funeral Home, Ahoskie, by the Rev. Laura Early. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery, Colerain. The family will receive friends at home. Memorial donations may be made to Colerain United Methodist Church, Colerain Fire Department or Colerain Rescue Squad.
