Josephine B. Elliott Todd ``Jo'' Hill, 69, of 107 Landon Ave., died Aug. 18, 1995, at her home.
She lived in Syracuse, N.Y., and was retired from Portsmouth Public Schools in 1990, after 11 years of service. She was born in Portsmouth, Va., and formerly attended New St. Thomas Baptist Church in Portsmouth.
She is survived by two sons, Clarence Todd and Ronald Todd, both of Portsmouth; mother, Thelma V. Elliott of Portsmouth; seven sisters, RosaLee Warren of Boykins, Va., Gladys Turner and Thelma L. Elliott, both of Portsmouth, Joyce Hathaway of Syracuse, Marion Hathaway of Palermo, N.Y., Margaret Ransom of Petersburg, and Emma Price of Silver Spring, Md.; two brothers, Robert Elliott of Hampton, Va., and Samuel Elliott of King George, Va.; 10 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; aunts, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A funeral service will be held 1 p.m. Thursday in New St. Thomas Baptist Church, Portsmouth, Va. Burial is in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will leave from 918 Centre Ave. and will be at the funeral home from 7 to 8 p.m. Wednesday. Rogers Funeral Home is handling the arrangements. ILLUSTRATION: Personal photo
