Clara Belle Powell Boose, 76, of the 3400 block of Brighton St., died Aug. 20, 1995, in her residence.
Mrs. Boose, a native of Kinston, N.C., was the widow of Robert M. Boose. She was retired from Sears, Roebuck & Co. as a billing clerk and was a member of Western Branch Baptist Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Doris Eure of Portsmouth and Rowena Mason of Hampton; two sons, Benjamin Powell of Portsmouth and Aubrey Thomas Powell of Richmond; three sisters, Irene Gibbs and Myra Harris, both of Norfolk, and Annie Elmore of Edenton, N.C.; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; five stepgrandchildren; and 11 stepgreat-grandchildren.
A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday in Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel, by the Rev. Evan Smith. Burial will be in Olive Branch Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. today. Memorial donations may be made to Western Branch Baptist Church.
