Eleanore Blair Bowie, 73, died Aug. 19, 1995, in a Virginia Beach hospital.
Mrs. Bowie was born in Greensburg, Pa., and was the widow of retired Army Col. Richard Turner Bowie. She was active in Hope Haven and the Virginia Beach SPCA. She attended Derry Borough High School and Grier School in Pennsylvania.
Survivors include two daughters, Ann Bowie Blair of Fairfax, Va., and Faith Bowie of Houston, Texas; a son, Richard Bowie of Virginia Beach; a brother, Henry H. Blair of Forked River, N.J.; and a grandchild, Daniel Blair Sweigart of Fairfax, Va.
A graveside service will be at 9 a.m. Friday in Arlington National Cemetery. Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Bayside Chapel, is handling arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hope Haven or to the Virginia Beach SPCA.
