Laura Etta Scarborough, 76, died Sunday, Aug. 20, 1995, at a Norfolk hospital.
Ms. Scarborough was born in Rodanthe, N.C., and was a schoolteacher. She was a member of the Eastern Star and the Fairhaven United Methodist Church. Ms. Scarborough was the daughter of the late Levene W. Midgett and the late Lucretia M. Midgett.
She is survived by one son, Horatio P. Beck of Hampton, Va.; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
A funeral service is scheduled for Wednesday, Aug. 23, 1995, at 3 p.m. in the Fairhaven United Methodist in Rodanthe, N.C., with the Rev. Berry Taylor officiating. Burial will follow in the family cemetery. A visitation will be held today from 7 to 9 p.m. at Fairhaven United Methodist Church. Twiford's Funeral Home, Manteo, is in charge of the arrangements.
