The Rev. Linwood Joseph Lyons, 42, of 6008 Georgetown Ct., died Aug. 22, 1995, in Sentara Leigh Memorial Hospital.
He was born Aug. 29, 1952, in Norfolk and was a retired sales representative of AT&T. He was a member and Associate Minister at Antioch Missionary Baptist Church. He was a graduate of Norview High School and Norfolk State University. He was also a volunteer for Norfolk Health Dept. and the minority TASK Force.
He is survived by two sisters, Linda C. Fuller of Norfolk, and Valerie Long of Chesapeake; two brothers, Erskin Lyons of Suffolk, and Antony Wilkins of Chesapeake. He is also survived by his devoted and loving godparents, Earl and Dorothy Keeling Saunders.
A funeral service will be conducted 1 p.m. Monday by the Rev. I. Joseph Williams in Antioch Missionary Baptist Church. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park. Viewing will be Sunday from 1 to 6 p.m. at Riddick Funeral Home. The family will be at the funeral home Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. The family will be at his residence 6008 Georgetown Court.
