Silas S. ``Pete'' Kea Jr., age 74, a resident of Franklin, died on Thursday, Aug. 24, 1995, in his home.
Mr. Kea was a retired building contractor and former partner in Silas S. Kea and Sons in Ivor. He was a member of Ivor Baptist Church. During World War II he piloted a B-24 for the U.S. Army Air Corps.
He is survived by his wife, Mabel Mobley Kea; his mother, Sarah Atkins Kea of Ivor; a brother, E. Peyton Kea Sr. of Ivor; three step-daughters, Cindy H. Archer, Kathy H. Creason, both Zuni, Betty Jo Vick of Carrsville; and seven step-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at Purviance Funeral Home, Wakefield, on Saturday, Aug. 26, 1995, at 4 p.m., by the Rev. Douglas M. Cotter. Burial will be in the Ivor Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home tonight from 7 to 8 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to the Suffolk Y.M.C.A., or to the Ivor Volunteer Rescue Squad.
