James Robert Mitchell, 42, died on Aug. 25, 1995, in his residence on Stockton Road, Norfolk.
Mr. Mitchell was born in Covington, Va. Mr. Mitchell's career in the food and beverage industry for the past 20 years had taken him to many areas of the United States. He was the food and beverage manager at the 39th Street Bar and Grill, Holiday Inn, in Virginia Beach, in 1990. He was the son of William P. Mitchell of the Azores and the late Mildred Sizer Mitchell of Covington.
Survivors include his brother, William P. Mitchell Jr. of Covington; sisters, Pat Eubank of Roanoke, Va., Bamma Mitchell of Covington, and Margaret Carpenter of Hot Springs, Va.; also several nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles.
Memorial services will be held at Loving Funeral Home in Covington on Sept. 9, 1995. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Full Circle Aids Hospice Support, 110 E. 24th St., Norfolk, Va. 23517, in the memory of James Mitchell. Altmeyer Funeral Home is in charge of local arrangements.
