The Rev. Ira Vincent Mercer, 60, of Blackstone, died Sunday, Aug. 27, 1995.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley; a daughter, Ruth Leigh Mercer of Blackstone; a son, Vincent Richard Mercer, a student at VA Intermont, Bristol; his mother, Mrs. Elsie T. Mercer of Virginia Beach; relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Vincent Elmo ``Dick'' Mercer.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 7 p.m. in the Grace United Methodist Church, Blackstone, with burial Friday, 2 p.m. at Rosewood Memorial Gardens, Virginia Beach.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m., today at Hamner-McMillian Funeral Home, Blackstone. Memorial contributions may be made to the East Nottoway United Methodist Charge.
