CLYDE V. NORDSTROM SR.

Clyde Vernon Nordstrom Sr., 85, died Saturday, Sept. 2, 1995, in Northampton-Accomack Memorial Hospital in Nassawadox.

He was born in Birdsnest, Va., and was preceded in death by his parents, John and Annie Downing Nordstrom. He was a retired businessman and was a member of Belle Haven United Methodist Church. He was also a member of Broadwater Masonic Lodge (NU)71 AF&AM, Khedive Temple Shrine, Norfolk, past president of Exmore Lions Club, and Exmore Ruritan Club. He was a very active member of the Y.M.C.A.

He is survived by his wife, Della Marshall Nordstrom; one daughter, Barbara N. Sturgis of Nelsonia, Va.; two sons, Clyde Vernon Nordstrom Jr. of Jamesville, Va., and C. Ray Nordstrom of Pocomoke City, Md.; one sister, Lillian N. Love of Hampton, Va.; 12 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be conducted Tuesday at 2 p.m. in Belle Haven United Methodist Church by the Rev. Fred G. Marvel and the Rev. Ralph A. Stalter. Burial will be in Belle Haven Cemetery. The family will join friends at Doughty Funeral Home, Exmore, Va., Tuesday from 10 a.m. to noon.
