Gundie Holly Sanders, 78, of Collection Creek Way, died Sept. 1, 1995, in her home.
She was a native of East Orange, N.J., and was the widow of Dr. Merritt W. Sanders. She was a member of All Saints Episcopal Church, Ocean Park Womens Club and a graduate of St. Elizabeths College in Madison, N.J.
She is survived by one daughter, Marjorie S. Burnett and her husband, Michael of Virginia Beach; one sister, Betty Holly of Stow, Mass.; one brother, Herbert Holly of Green Valley, Ariz.; three grandchildren, Jeannine Jones and John Burnett, both of Virginia Beach and Holly Ellsworth of St. Mary's, Ga.; seven great-grandchildren; three nieces; two nephews; and many other loving friends and family. She was predeceased by two brothers, Helmut Holly and Warner Holly.
A memorial service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday in All Saints Episcopal Church by the Rev. Dr. Stanley W. Sawyer. The burial will be at a later date in Madison, N.J. The family will receive friends at the church following the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the church's Landscaping Fund, or to a charity of choice. Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Great Neck Chapel, is handling the arrangements.
