JAMES L. WILKINSON

Mr. James Lloyd Wilkinson, 76, died Sept. 2, 1995, in his residence.

He was a retired U.S. Post Office employee for the U.S. Postal Service where he worked 33 years. He was a native of Norfolk. He was a member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church, Norfolk, and was a member of Faith Bible Class and United Methodist Men. He was a member of Elizabeth Masonic Lodge (NU)34, Khedive Temple of the Shrine, and was Past Captain of the Provost Guard.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Jackie Salvant Wilkinson; two daughters, Priscilla W. Svedberg of Virginia Beach, and Calvie H. Schwalm of Chino Hills, Calif.; one sister, Peggy Quattrocchi of New Jersey; one brother, Charles Wilkinson of Georgia; and 5 grandchildren, Ingrid L. and Eric S. Svedberg, Matthew J., Manning L. and Whitney C. Hughson.

A funeral service will be conducted 11 a.m. Wednesday by the Rev. James N. Ritter in Aldersgate United Methodist Church. Burial is in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens, Norfolk. Friends may join the family at Smith & Williams Funeral Home, Kempsville Chapel, on Tuesday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Contributions may be made to Aldersgate United Methodist Church, 5767 Sellger Dr., Norfolk, Va. 23502, or Khedive Temple Transportation Fund, 645 Woodlake Drive, Chesapeake, Va. 23920. Masonic Rites will be accorded at the church.
