James Curtis Dorn, 85, of 604 City Park Ave., died Saturday, Sept. 2, 1995.
He was a native of Greenwood, S.C., and he was retired from TRT as a bus driver. He was a member of Simonsdale Presbyterian Church, Portsmouth, and America/Fellowship Masonic Lodge (NU)148.
He is survived by his wife, Helen C. Dorn; one son, William Dorn of Portsmouth; one stepson, Carl C. McLain of Portsmouth; one sister, Ruby Garrison of South Carolina; two brothers, Clyde Dorn of Jacksonville, Fla., and Roy Dorn of Atlanta, Ga.; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
A funeral service will be conducted 11 a.m. Tuesday in Simonsdale Presbyterian Church by the Rev. John N. Ashenfelder. Burial is in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens with Masonic Rites. The family will receive friends at the Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel, Monday from 7 to 8 p.m. Memorials may be made to Simonsdale Presbyterian Church.
