Admond Phelps Sr., 82, of the 900 block of Sunnyside Drive, died Sept. 4, 1995, in his residence.
Mr. Phelps, the widower of Lena Bell Phelps, was retired from Hampton Roads Sanitation District. He was born in Creswell, N.C., and was a member of Calvary Temple, Norfolk.
Survivors include five daughters, Iris Jean Hutton, Ada Bell Campbell, Garlon Ann Curry, Carolyn Fay Jefferson, and Jackie Lee Kiel; two sons, Caleb Respus Phelps Sr., and Admond Phelps Jr.; 23 grandchildren; and 42 great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Calvary Temple, Norfolk, by Pastor Lamar Sentell. Burial will be in Rosewood Memorial Park. The family will be at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Indian River Chapel, from 7 to 9 p.m. today.
