John ``Uncle John'' Blue, 67, of the 400 block of Louisa St., died Sept. 5, 1995, in a Norfolk hospital.
Mr. Blue was retired and he was a member of Bethany Baptist Church, Chesapeake, and the Elks and Senior Citizens. He served his country faithfully in the U.S. Marine Corps and the U.S. Navy. He was born in Rocky Mount, N.C.
Survivors include one son, Jerome Blue of Reno, Nev.; one sister, Willie Bea Covington; and a host of nieces and nephews, and many great friends.
The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday in Bethany Baptist Church, by the Rev. Jake Manley. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park. Hale Funeral Home in charge.
