ROSA M. LEGGETT

Rosa Mae Leggett, 67, of the 800 block of Fremont St., died Aug. 31, 1995, in Sentara Norfolk General Hospital.

She was a housewife, and a member of Abundant Word of Life Church, Norfolk, where she was on the usher board. She was born in Norfolk.

Survivors include two daughters, Cassandra Palmer of Norfolk and Gwendolyn Whitehead of Portsmouth; four sons, Michael Leggett, Ricky Leggett, Ernest Leggett, all of Norfolk, and William Leggett of North Carolina; one sister, Catherine Cross of Norfolk; two brothers, Lonnie Spencer Jr. and Lawrence Spencer, both of Norfolk; 11 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and a host of other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her parents, Mamie Spencer and Mr. Lonnie Spencer.

The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. today in Hale Funeral Chapel, by Elderess Josephine Williams. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery, Norfolk. Family and friends will assemble at the home at 10 a.m. today for the funeral procession to the chapel. They will receive friends at the home, 891 Fremont St., Norfolk.
