Anna W. Hill, of the 400 block of North George Washington Highway, died Sept. 4, 1995, in Maryview Medical Center, Portsmouth.
Mrs. Hill, a retired reading teacher, worked for Deep Creek Junior High School and the Chesapeake City Public School System for over 35 years. She was the widow of John W. Hill, and was born in the Deep Creek Section of Norfolk County. She was a member, trustee, minister of music, church organist, member of the choirs, and participated in numerous other activities of Rehoboth AME Church, Chesapeake. She was a member of many civic and other community organizations.
Survivors include one son, Darryl J. Hill of Chesapeake; one sister, Felicia W. Jackson of Chesapeake; beloved mother-in-law, Elizabeth Hill of Portsmouth; and a host of adopted grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws and friends.
The funeral will be conducted at noon Saturday in Rehoboth AME Church, by the Rev. Willie L. White Sr. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park, Chesapeake. Viewing at Corprew Funeral Home will begin at 10 a.m. Friday. The body will be take to the church at 10 a.m. on Saturday.
