John A. ``Peter'' Artis, of the 1000 block of Tifton St., died Sept. 5, 1995, in DePaul Hospital.
He was self employed. Survivors include two sisters, Mary Lewis and Ruby L. Artis, both of Chesapeake; one brother, Herbert Artis of Chesapeake.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday in Carlos A. Howard Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery. The family will assemble at 3906 Hayslett St., Chesapeake, at 10 a.m. for the procession. The remains will be ready for viewing at 3 p.m. today.
