If you're in the mood for a parade, head for Atlantic Avenue

Saturday. More than 8,000 Shriners from the Mid-Atlantic Shrine

Association are in town this week for their annual convention, and

their gala parade is always a highlight of their stay. Colorful

units including hillbilly bands, clowns, Middle Eastern musicians,

mini antique cars and hot rods, motorcycles and more will travel

down Atlantic Avenue from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. from 17th to 31st

streets. The Shriners' Steel Band will be playing on Atlantic Avenue

during the parade next to the reviewing stand at 31st Street. In

addition, Shriners will be performing today for the public at the

24th Street Stage. The Shriners' String Band concert will be from 1

to 3 p.m. and the Shriners' Brass Band concert will be from 3 to 5

p.m.
