Lois Turner Guth, 70, of Snug Harbor, died Thursday, Sept. 7, 1995, in Sentara Norfolk General Hospital.
A native of Tyrrell County, N.C., she was the daughter of the late Ben Franklin Turner and Jinnie Cahoon Turner. She was a member of Parkview Christian Church in Portsmouth and an associate member of Snug Harbor Community Church. She was a member of Snug Harbor Civic League and was a volunteer at Chowan Hospital.
Survivors include her husband, Garnet C. ``Gary'' Guth; four daughters, Rita Guth Lee of Covington, Va., Carol Cullipher Rawls of Chesapeake, Joan Cullipher Canip of Point Harbor, and Denise Cullipher Jones of Elizabeth City; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today in Swindell Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday in Snug Harbor Community Church, with the Rev. Stanley Nixon officiating. Burial will follow in Cedar Wood Cemetery.
