Elbert Jackson Wilkins, 89, of the 5200 block of Sweetbriar Circle, died Sept. 6, 1995, in Portsmouth.
Mr. Wilkins, a retired leading man pipefitter from Norfolk Naval Shipyard, was born in Norfolk. He was also retired from Hagwoods Laundry.
Survivors include his wife, Margaret Mary Wilkins; one daughter, Beverly W. Moore of Portsmouth; one sister, Eva T. Farlow of California; one granddaughter, Pamela M. Kostinas of Chesapeake; and two great-grandchildren, Robert Jackson Kostinas and Sarah Margaret Kostinas, both of Chesapeake.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday in Snellings Funeral Home, Churchland Chapel, by the Rev. George Mullinax. Burial will be in Olive Branch Cemetery. The family will be at the funeral home to receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today.
