Norfolk State University will hold a banquet Friday night to honor the rector of the Board of Visitors, Dr. L.D. Britt. The proceeds will help establish a $20,000 L.D. Britt Scholarship Fund.
Britt is chairman of the department of general surgery at Eastern Virginia Medical School.
The banquet will start 6:30 p.m. at the university's Scott-Dozier Dining Hall.
