THOMAS A. BUNTING SR.

Thomas Alfred Bunting Sr., 79, formerly of Jolliff Road, died Sunday, Sept. 10, 1995, in a Portsmouth hospital.

Mr. Bunting, a native of Portsmouth, was the widower of Sophie R. Bunting. He was retired from Colonial Stores as a truck driver. He was a member of Jolliff United Methodist Church and Portsmouth Moose Lodge (NU)898 and was an Army veteran of World War II.

Survivors include a son, Thomas A. Bunting Jr. of Chesapeake; a sister, Mary Elizabeth Norcum of Portsmouth; a grandson, Thomas R. Bunting of Chesapeake; four nieces, Barbara Grant of Portsmouth, Margaret Deal of Chesapeake, Jackie Marshall of Suffolk and Betty Dietrick of Pennsylvania; and three nephews, Bobby Bunting of Mathews County, James Butler of Suffolk and George Lee of Portsmouth.

A special acknowledgement is made to Addie Parsons and family and the staff of Parsons Residential Care Center.

A funeral will be conducted at 3 p.m. Tuesday in Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel, by the Rev. Won Un. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will be at the funeral home from 7 to 8 p.m. today.
