June M. Fuqua, 50, passed away Saturday, Sept. 9, 1995, in Lynchburg General Hospital.
She was born Oct. 17, 1944, in Lynchburg, a daughter of Virginia Ollie Murphy McKenna of Powhatan and the late Ollin Bernard McKenna. She was a nursing assistant and attended Timberlake United Methodist Church.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband, Douglas B. Fuqua; a daughter, Shane F. Hubbard of Lynchburg; two sons, Steven G. Fuqua of Evington and Paul M. Handy of Maryland; a stepson, Mickey B. Fuqua of Richmond; two grandsons, Jonathan Hubbard and Travis Hunter Fuqua, both of Lynchburg; one brother and three sisters.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Mentow Baptist Church, Huddleston, by the Rev. Daren Davis and the Rev James M. Tongue. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends today from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Updike Funeral Home, Huddleston, and other times at 386 Hickok Road, Lynchburg.
