EPHRIAM H. HERRINGTON

Ephriam Hubert Herrington, 87, of the 1800 block of N.C. Highway 32 South, Plymouth, died Sunday following an extended illness.

A native of Washington County, born Dec. 28, 1907, Mr. Herrington was the son of the late Closs and Mrs. Ada Spruill Herrington. He was a member of the Plymouth First Baptist Church and had retired from the Weyerhaeuser Paper Co. in 1971.

Surviving are his wife, Lillian W. Herrington of the home; one son, Jerry Herrington of White, Ga.; one daughter, Ramona H. Dawson of Virginia Beach; one brother, Woodrow Herrington of Plymouth; one sister, Annie H. Davenport of Plymouth; and three grandchildren.

A graveside serivce will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Hillside Memorial Gardens with Dr. Terry Jones officiating. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to First Baptist Church Memorial Fund, 309 Washington St., Plymouth, N.C. 27962. Horner-Walker Funeral Service is handling arrangements.
