Sue Underwood Chandler, died Monday, Sept. 11, 1995, in Suffolk.
She was a native of Nansemond County and was a member of Oakland Christian Church, Chuckatuck. Mrs. Chandler was a graduate of Blackstone College, Blackstone, Va., and retired from the Treasurer's Dept. of Nansemond County. She was the widow of Robert O. Chandler Jr.
She is survived by one daughter, Robbie Chandler Wuerz of Sarasota, Fla.; and two sisters, Ruby U. Taylor of Virginia Beach, and Jacqueline U. Saunders of Smithfield, Va.
Funeral services will be held Friday, Sept. 15, at 11 a.m. in Historic St. Luke's Church, with the Rev. Mark Burns officiating. Burial will follow in St. Luke's Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to the Nansemond Suffolk Volunteer Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 1515, Suffolk, Va. 23434. Colonial Funeral Home, Smithfield, is handling arrangements.
