Texas Davis, 71, of P.O. Box 337, Cofield, N.C. 27922, died Tuesday, Sept. 12, 1995, in a nearby hospital.
Texas was born in Nansemond County (Suffolk) to the late Mr. and Mrs. Charles Lee Davis. He retired from Southern Block Co., Chesapeake.
Survivors include his wife, Lillie D. Davis; 11 children, Thomas R. Davis and Carolyn D. Dodson of Chesapeake, Glenda Sawyer of Norfolk, Aubrey Davis of Virginia Beach, Texas T. Davis Jr., and Cheryl M. Perry of Winton, N.C., Eric L. Davis, Keisha Kornegay, Swaheelee Davis, all of Raleigh, N.C., Pamela Moore of Hampton, Reginia Mitchell of Newport News; 17 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; one brother of Norfolk; one sister; and a host of nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Sept. 18, 1995. Reynolds Funeral Home, Ahoskie, is in charge.
