Wanda I. Patterson, 71, died Sept. 13, 1995 in a Newport News hospital.
Mrs. Patterson was a native of Harriman, Tenn. and worked for the Civil Service. She was the widow of Raymond Patterson and was preceded in death by her daughter, Claudia K. Patterson.
She is survived by one daughter, Phyllis P. and her husband Donald Houp of Newburgh, Maine; one brother, George A. and his wife, Anna Burns Jr. of Newport News; two grandchildren, Chad R. Houp of Bangor, Maine, and Crystal R. Houp of Newburgh, Maine; and one niece, Margie J. Bailey of Newport News, Va.
A graveside service will be conducted 1 p.m. Saturday by the Mnister Jimmy Bennett in Rosewood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Bayside Chapel, today from 7 to 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
