PAST COURT MEMBERS SOUGHT AS NEW BLOOD FOR VOLUNTEERS

Although the Neptune Festival draws loads of volunteers, it's always searching for more. One of the best resources for volunteers has been members of the Royal Order of Neptune (past King Neptunes and Tritons) and their wives. But Beth Kellam, chairman of the Neptune Festival Auxiliary, wants to get the younger set involved. She and Nancy Vakos are creating a Princess/Court organization that will operate much like the Royal Order of Neptune.

They are looking for former princesses and escorts who served on the 22 courts. The organization, sort of like an alumni group, will probably hold annual events, publish a directory and keep members informed through newsletters.

``These young people are the future of the Neptune Festival,'' Kellam said. ``They will carry on in the years to come.''

Kellam has some names and addresses of the estimated 200 to 250 participants but needs current ones. Many court members live out of state or have not stayed in touch, and Kellam hopes that someone knows how to contact them.

If you are a former princess or escort or know the whereabouts of any, please contact Beth Kellam at 460-0962 or Nancy Vakos at 422-0445. by CNB
