Martin Luther ``Luke'' Thompson Sr., 74, of the 4900 block of Century Drive, died Sept. 17, 1995, in a Norfolk hospital.
Mr. Thompson was born in Tarboro, N.C., and was a retired maintenance mechanic. He was of the Pentecostal Holiness faith.
Survivors include his wife, Margaret L. Thompson; four daughters, Hazel M. Parron, Ellen J. Kelley and Nancy L. Diaz, all of Virginia Beach, and Carolyn E. Hayth of Norfolk; a son, Martin L. Thompson Jr. of Virginia Beach; three sisters, Louise Repass of Appomattox, Va., Elsie Carroll and Lillian Frost, both of Portsmouth; and 10 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his mother, Janet Piland Thompson, father, Edward T. Thompson and brother, James Thompson.
A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Bayside Chapel, by the Rev. Vance Smith. Burial will be in Rosewood Memorial Park. The family will be at the funeral home from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today.
