Joseph Elmer Huff Jr., 67, of the 200 block of Ridgeland Drive, died Sunday, Sept. 17, 1995, in Newport News.
He was a native of Renova, Pa., and retired in 1994 from Gwaltney, Inc., Smithfield, as a special project manager with 35 years of service. Mr. Huff was a U.S. Marine Corp veteran and a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Smithfield Masonic Lodge, (NU)18, AF&AM, and the American Legion, George F. Dashiell, Post (NU)49.
Survivors include his wife, Louise Myers Huff; one daughter, Virginia Lee Huff Delk of Smithfield; three sons, Joseph Elmer Huff III of Galveston, Texas, Gordon Russell Huff of Goddard, Kan., Robert Lee Huff of Smithfield; one sister, Delorese H. Register of Cove Cay, Fla.; and nine grandchildren.
A graveside service with Masonic rites will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday in St. Luke's Memorial Park by the Rev. Jay Ashby. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today in Colonial Funeral Home, and suggests memorial contributions be made to the Isle of Wight Volunteer Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 97, Smithfield, Va. 23431, or Isle of Wight Academy, 17111 Courthouse Highway, Isle of Wight, Va. 23397.
