Henry Wayland Spruill, 94, of the 100 block of South Pine Drive, died Sept. 22, 1995, in his residence.
Mr. Spruill, a retired farmer, was born in Washington County, N.C. He was a member of Connaritsa Baptist Church, Aulander.
Survivors include his wife of 72 years, Irene Cherry Spruill; two sons, Henry G. Spruill and Charles E. Spruill, both of Aulander; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday in Garrett Funeral Home, Ahoskie, by the Rev. Clinton Lawyer and the Rev. Robert White. Burial will be in Aulander Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the home, 106 S. Pine Drive. Memorial donations may be made to Roanoke Chowan Hospice, P.O. Box 272, Ahoskie, N.C. 27910.
