Rudolph E. ``Rudy'' Hicks, of the 800 block of Tuition Drive, died Sept. 22, 1995, in a local hospital.
Mr. Hicks, a cosmetologist at Beauty Pageant Styling Salon, Virginia Beach, was born in Norfolk. He was a Baptist. He was in the U.S. Navy (E4). While a student at Booker T. Washington High School, he was a member of the Hurrah Players, Norfolk. He graduated from Hick's Academy Beauty School.
Survivors include his mother, Mrs. Shirley Revere and stepfather, Mr. Willie Revere, both of Norfolk; three sisters, Marseilles Hicks of Norfolk, Mildred H. Jones and Latrese Burnett, both of Kansas City, Mo.; one brother, Sean Jenkins of Norfolk; companion, Sharne Elliott of Virginia Beach; a nephew, Andre L. Hicks of Norfolk; a grandnephew, D'Andre K. Hicks of Norfolk; an aunt, Mrs. Jean C. Corley of Chesapeake; and a host of other relatives and friends.
The funeral will be conducted at noon Tuesday in Antioch Missionary Baptist Church by Dr. I. Joseph Williams. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park, Chesapeake. Friends will assemble with the family from 7 to 8 p.m. Monday at Metropolitan Funeral Service, Norfolk. Friends will assemble with the family Tuesday at 11 a.m. at 823 Tuition Drive, Virginia Beach, for the funeral procession to the church. ILLUSTRATION: Photo
