As one of the federal retirees who settled in good faith with Virginia for taxes wrongly collected from me, I felt the state did the best if could under the circumstances.
The assumption of our attorney general, as he is quoted, is one related to the stock market more than to integrity, morality and what-is-right-is-right!
The $359 I got back was no big deal. The way I got it back is another matter. Ignorance of the laws is no excuse for committing a crime. Not even for the state. So much for politics and setting examples.
