Margaret Woolard Ballance, 77, of the 200 block of D View Ave., died Sept. 26, 1995, in Richmond, Va.
She was a native of Bath, N.C., and was a member of Ocean View Baptist Church in Norfolk. She was a member of the Golden Friendship Sunday School Class.
She is survived by her husband, Marion B. ``Barney'' Ballance of Norfolk; a daughter, Gwen B. English of Chesterfield, Va.; a son, Donald M. Ballance of Mechanicsville, Md.; six sisters, Mary Ruth Winn of Virginia Beach, Minnie Thornton of Norfolk, Helen Cole and Calline Woolard, both of Suffolk, Dollie Umphlett of Cleveland, Tenn., and Myrtle Toler of Washington, N.C.; and seven grandchildren.
A funeral service will be conducted 2 p.m. Saturday by Dr. David Clay in Ocean View Baptist Church. Burial is in Forest Lawn Cemetery.The family will receive friends at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel, Friday from 7 to 9 p.m.
